Shoe Support to the religious Jewish family 11/11/20

We visited the Orthodox Jewish Rabbi Morcai during the Feast of the Tabernacle last October, and shortly afterwards his daughter Leah contacted us. It was a call for the shoes of 11 children without shoes. We were worried about kids due to the harsh Israeli winter weather, and we prayed for finances, and God filled them with gratitude. So we bought the best shoes and visited Leah's house. Religious Jewish women in Israel get married at the age of 18 and are already mothers of two children by the age of 20. Leah, now 35, was in her 12th pregnancy. There was not enough food, the house was not clean, there were no children's clothes and shoes. Nevertheless, they do not seek help from gentiles. We were sorry for how difficult they would have asked us for help, but we recognized how grateful it was to open up to believers.

We praised God when we saw the children wearing new shoes and being so happy.

지난 10월 장막절 기간에 정통유대인 모르캐이 랍비를 방문하고 얼마 지나지 않아 딸 레아에게 연락이 왔습니다. 신발이 없는 아이들 11명의 신발을 요청하는 전화였습니다. 우리는 갑자기 추어진 이스라엘의 날씨로 마음이 조급해졌고, 재정을 기도했는데 감사하게 하나님이 그 재정을 채워 주셨습니다. 그래서 신발을 최고의 것으로 사서 레아의 집을 방문했습니다. 이스라엘에서 종교유대인 여자들은 18살 정도에 결혼을 하고 20살이면 이미 두아이의 엄마가 되어있습니다. 이제 35살인 레아는 12번째 임신을 한 상태였습니다. 집을 방문하니 기가 막힙니다. 먹을것도 부족하고 집도 위생적이지 못하고 아이들의 옷이며 신발이 없는겁니다. 그럼에도 그들은 이방인에게 도움을 구하지 않습니다. 이들이 얼마나 어려우면 우리에게 도움을 청했을까 싶어 안타깝기도 했지만 믿는자에게 마음을 연 것이 얼마나 감사했는지 모릅니다. 우리는 아이들이 새신발을 신고 너무 행복하는 모습을 보고 하나님을 찬양했다.
