The Prayer House in Gilgal

We visited the Prayer House in Gilgal and helped Elena's olive farm. Elena is cultivating and keeping olive farms and date palm farms on her own to protect Gilgal's biblical significance, not to give this land to the Palestinians. The weather there is extremely hot in summer and cold in winter, so people cannot live. Gilgal is near the Jordan River baptismal site in front of Jericho, and was the last place where manna was supplied when Israel was exodus, and the place where the Israelites camped.

우리는 길갈에 위치한 기도의 집을 방문했습니다. 그곳에는 엘레나라는 정통 유대인 할머니가 남편인 랍비와 함께 살고 있습니다. 사람이 살 수 없는 혹독한 날씨인데 오로지 그땅이 성경적으로 얼마나 중요한지 하나님이 유대인에게 주신 땅이라고 해서 주변의 팔레스타인인들에게 뺏기가 않기 위해 올리브나무 농장과 대추야자열매 농장을 개간해 그 땅을 지키며 살고 있습니다. 길갈은 이스라엘 인들이 출애굽 당시 마지막으로 만나를 하나님께 공급 받은 곳이며 이스라엘 사람들이 진을 친곳으로 주변엔 여리고와 요단강 세례터가 있습니다.
